Advancing Inclusion: WASC at the Italian Chamber of Commerce & Italian Embassy<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We Are Stronger Charity was honoured to take part in a significant and inspiring series of events in London, focused on social inclusion, disability awareness, and international collaboration<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our founder, Olga Venosa,<\/strong> was invited to join a high-level roundtable discussion on social inclusion<\/strong> held at the Italian Chamber of Commerce, bringing together key voices from both Italy and the United Kingdom. The discussion created a valuable space for dialogue, exchange of ideas, and the exploration of future collaborations aimed at building a more inclusive society. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event was attended by the Italian Minister for Disabilities, Hon. Alessandra Locatelli, and the UK Minister of State for Social Security and Disability, The Rt Hon Sir Stephen Timms MP, alongside institutional representatives and leaders committed to advancing inclusion. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sharing the Work of We Are Stronger Charity<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the roundtable, We Are Stronger Charity had the opportunity to present its ongoing work in the field of disability inclusion and anti-bullying education<\/strong>, with a particular focus on its latest primary school initiative and children\u2019s book, \u201cRiding Kindness\u201d<\/em> (\u201cA cavallo della gentilezza\u201d<\/em>). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This project aims to: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Encourage understanding of disability without stigma  <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
      \n
    • Promote empathy, respect, and inclusion from an early age  <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
        \n
      • Provide children with practical tools to build positive relationships  <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

        The discussion highlighted the importance of early education in shaping more inclusive communities and reinforced the value of combining storytelling with educational activities to create meaningful impact. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

        The Solfagnano Charter Exhibition<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

        Following the roundtable, participants were invited to the Italian Embassy for the opening of the Solfagnano Charter Exhibition<\/strong>, hosted by the Ambassador of Italy to the UK, Inigo Lambertini. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

        The exhibition and accompanying discussions provided deeper insight into Italy\u2019s evolving approach to disability inclusion, as well as the broader international commitment to protecting the rights, dignity, and potential of every individual. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

        Hearing directly from Minister Locatelli about the Solfagnano Charter and ongoing disability reforms in Italy<\/strong>, alongside the UK\u2019s commitments shared by Minister Timms, reinforced the importance of cross-country collaboration in driving meaningful and lasting change. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

        The conversations sparked new synergies and potential collaborations<\/strong>, creating a strong foundation for future projects that can expand the reach and impact of inclusive initiatives across borders. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
